Kayaking Silver Springs State Park is truly an amazing Florida kayaking experience. Sit back and enjoy our informative and slow paced kayak tour, with possible sightings of manatees, wild monkeys, alligators, and beautiful water birds. The main spring pumps out up to 550 million gallons of crystal clear water a day, and Silver Springs is said to be the largest artesian formation in the world. Silver Springs is the headwaters of the Silver River, the largest tributary on the Ocklawaha River. The silver river makes for a great pictorial kayak tour, with wildlife galore, including wild Rhesus Macaque Monkeys. Silver Springs has a interesting history of famous visitors and several Hollywood movies and series were filmed here including, Tarzan and Sea Hunt..
We offer solo and tandem kayaks for this adventure. This is a slow paced beginner friendly kayak tour. Kids ages 6 plus only on our public tours please. Kids under 6 are welcome on our private tours ( See Below). Kids 6-15 must ride in a tandem kayak with an adult.

Public Tour Price: Price $65.00 per solo kayak & $120.00 per tandem (2 person) kayak. We require a minimum of 4 adults signed up for our tours to go out. If you have less than four 4 adults in your group, you may still reserve. In the rare event the minimum number of reservations is not met, you will be notified 24 hours prior to your tour time, at which time you have the option to reschedule or a full refund. Price inclues park launch fee of $4.00 & park entrance fee of $2.00. Tour includes kayak, paddle, PFD (life jacket) dry bag, water and a UF master naturalist guide that will take pictures of your adventure.
Our guides are great, please don't forget them! Gratuity is not included in the price. Just let us know at the end of the tour if you would like to add a tip to your credit card.
This tour is beginner friendly with a short basic kayaking tutorial before each tour. We offer this adventure as a private or public tour with a minimum of 6 people.
What to Expect:
The tour begins at the canoe launch at the head spring. Your guide will outfit you a personal flotation device, a paddle, and a short paddle and safety clinic. After the clinic, we will help you, one by one on the water, and begin our paddle, easing our way down the Fort King canoe trail. On this scenic trail, historical scenes and past exhibits of Silver Springs past are still standing, including replicas of a seminole village, 1827 fort king army stockade, and a pioneer homestead. We will continue our adventure around Ross Allen Island, named after the famous, herpetologist, naturalist, zoologist, and writer, who was based at Silver Springs. Wildlife is abundant and possible sightings may include, manatees, alligators, deer, several different species of waterbirds, otters, turtles wild monkeys and much more.
This is a slow paced easy going kayak tour, stopping often to talk about the natural wonder and amazing history of the area. Your UF certified master naturalist guide will take tons pictures of you and your adventure for you to have and share

What to Bring: Wet shoes or shoes that can get wet, hat, sunblock,any additional snacks or drinks or water, camera, change of clothes(in case your butt gets wet).Reservations are non refundable without a 12 hour cancellation notice. Any and all cancellations by Kayak Florida due to weather or for any reason, the customer will receive a full refund of all charges. You will be notified by phone of weather updates and in the event of a cancellation of this tour.
Private Tour Price: $75.00 per person 6 person minimum required. Kids under age 6 are welcome.. We offer solo and tandem kayaks for our private tours.
Tours includes: Kayak instruction, kayak , PFD, paddle, dry bag, bottled water, and a UF certified naturalist guide equipped with a smartphone and a marine radio for emergencies and to keep track of any approaching weather, as well as a camera to capture lasting memories of your exhilarating experience. Walk around and enjoy the park and concessions after your tour. Prices include state park entrance fees and launch fees.
We offer solo sit on top kayaks for our public tours. These perception kayaks are very stable and easy to get in and out of. They also have integrated back seats which are great for your back! We also provide super light carbon fiber paddles for your ease of paddling. Our equipment is coast guard inspected every year and all our guides are cpr and first aid certified. Our commitment to service, safety and fabulous fun... is second to none! Reservations must be made and pre – paid 24 hours in advance. Reservations can be made online 7 days a week. A 12 hour cancellation notice is required for a full refund.BOOK NOW!
